COMPETITIONS/ SCHOLARSHIPS
YOUNG ARTS (Deadline April 30) – Young Arts Competition and Scholarships/ Deadline October 16. Young Arts gives millions of dollars in art scholarships each year. It’s open to all students at our school grades 9-12. To enter, you must make an online account and upload your images. Scholarships = Free Money. These are the biggest art scholarships available. Students may apply for a fee waiver to enter for free if they have filled out a lunch application as part of a Title 1 school. Get your lunch application in, even if you don’t want lunch, there are other benefits for the school such as fee waivers. More info at youngarts.org
FREE ART PROGRAMS
VISUAL & PERFOMING ARTS COLLEGE FAIR– (OCT 24 at UCLA) The event is free. There are metered parking lots with hourly rates, or all day passes for parking. This is a great event to find both art schools and universities with strong art departments and the booths distribute application and scholarship information. It is not a portfolio review event.
