YOUNG ARTS (Deadline April 30) – Young Arts Competition and Scholarships/ Deadline October 16. Young Arts gives millions of dollars in art scholarships each year. It’s open to all students at our school grades 9-12. To enter, you must make an online account and upload your images. Scholarships = Free Money. These are the biggest art scholarships available. Students may apply for a fee waiver to enter for free if they have filled out a lunch application as part of a Title 1 school. Get your lunch application in, even if you don’t want lunch, there are other benefits for the school such as fee waivers. More info at youngarts.org
FREE ART PROGRAMS
ART CENTER SATURDAY HIGH – (Scholarship Application Due Aug 27) “Art Center pays for us to have an Art Center Mentor working in our classrooms. They also are committed to giving 3 or more scholarships to our students each semester for their high school level classes. VISUAL & PERFOMING ARTS COLLEGE FAIR– (OCT 24 at UCLA) The event is free. There are metered parking lots with hourly rates, or all day passes for parking. This is a great event to find both art schools and universities with strong art departments and the booths distribute application and scholarship information. It is not a portfolio review event.
